Termite Elimination

Termite elimination & Sentricon protection

Termites are working on your home before most people ever spot them, and the Barnetts have been stopping them in southern Illinois for over 40 years. We start with a free, thorough inspection, then protect your home with the Sentricon system so the colony is gone for good.

What to watch for

Signs you may have termites

Termites stay out of sight, so the early clues are easy to miss. You do not need to be sure before you call us. If any of this looks familiar, let us take a look:

  • Mud tubes running up the foundation
  • Wood that sounds hollow or papery when tapped
  • Discarded wings near windowsills and doors
  • Floors and doors that feel tight or start to buckle
  • Small piles of what looks like sawdust

Our process

How we treat termites

Termites need a real plan, not a one-time spray. Here is how the Barnetts handle it from the first visit to long-term protection.

1

Free, thorough inspection

We check inside and out, top to bottom, to find where termites are active and how they are getting in.

2

We install the Sentricon system

In-ground bait stations go in around the home, placed where termites travel and feed.

3

The colony is eliminated

Termites feed on the bait and the whole colony is wiped out, not just repelled or pushed somewhere else.

4

We monitor and protect

Long-term monitoring keeps the protection in place so the termites do not come back.

About the system

What Sentricon is

Sentricon is a proven baiting system that does the one thing a quick spray cannot: wipe out the entire colony, including the queen. Discreet bait stations sit in the ground around your home, termites carry the bait back to the nest, and the whole colony collapses from the inside.

Protection does not stop once the termites are gone. The stations stay in place and keep guarding your home year-round, so new termites are dealt with before they ever reach the wood. The Barnetts stand behind the results and stay in touch, because protecting your home and your wallet is the whole point.

Why termites can’t wait

Termites do their work out of sight, and a small problem turns into thousands of dollars in structural damage before you ever see it. Catching them early is far cheaper, faster, and a lot less stressful.

Good questions

Termite questions, answered

Do I need a termite inspection when buying a home in Illinois? +
It is strongly recommended. A termite inspection protects one of the biggest purchases of your life, and if any activity is found, our Sentricon system gives you lasting protection before closing day stress turns into a structural bill.
How does the Sentricon system work? +
Sentricon uses in-ground bait stations placed around your home. Termites feed on the bait and carry it back to the colony, which eliminates the entire colony including the queen, not just the termites you can see.
How much does termite treatment cost? +
It depends on the size of your home and the level of activity, and we give you a clear price after the inspection. Customers consistently tell us our pricing is reasonable for the protection they get.
How will I know the termites are gone? +
We monitor the Sentricon stations over time and keep you informed. The protection stays in place year-round, so you are covered against new activity too.
